Southern Railway 630 Steam Special 060 made a test run from Chattanooga, Tn. to Attalla, Al. & turned back to Chattanooga, Tn. via NS'S Alabama Division AGS North District. The trip didn't go very well as the 630 had bearing problems & they had to stop 3 times for the bearing problems, at least it made it anyway & more importantly I was able to get my shots, the train is seen here in Attalla getting ready to shove back around a wye to turn their train & head back to Chattanooga, Tn.

I sure hope NS continues the steam program for many more years, but we all know it will not last forever, but at least for the time being we can all enjoy these classic steam locomotives pulling excursions around the NS system

I hated the crossties cluttering the right of way here, but not like I could move them, I almost decided to skip this shot because of the crosstie clutter ruining the shot. For the past 2 years the Southern Railway 2-8-0 #630 has made excursions to Parrish & Wilton, Al.
