CSXT Southbound Light Engine Move X099 ( Nashville, Tn. to Waycross, Ga. ) stopped at 13th Street Interlocking in Birmingham, Al. for a meet with a Zew NS trains before proceeding on south. HLCX 7149 used to be 1 of only a few Natural Gas Experimental SD40-2's that BN tested in the 90's. I've always wanted to shoot these units, but not necessarily in these conditions, I'd liked to have caught them while still new with `ll the logos & paint in good shape, but at least I got a shot of it before it got sent to Patterson, Ga. where it's likely to be stored for years & rust away. The other one of these former experimental Natural Gas SD40-2's was in service on BNSF at one time, but not sure if it still is. It is wearind the H-1 scheme of BNSF & numbered in the 7800 series |
