UP Southbound Local Freight Train passing through the siding in Mayflower, Ar. meeting a northbound freight that held the main until the local cleared, I have to give the person that removed the UP Shield Logo Patch from the nose of the UP 1900 a big thank you, because whoever did that made this a much better catch, the only patch is on the side of the cab, which is very tolerable, almost like catching a true DRGW GP60, when you use the telephoto or zoom lens the only way you can tell its not true DRGW is the number series the GP60 is in now. I totally lost it when I saw the UP 1900 leading still in DRGW paint & with no crappy UP Shield Logo patch on the nose ruining the DRGW heritage scheme, this could be the only DRGW unit left without a UP patch on the nose, with the exception of the few DRGW SD40T-2s that are operating on W&LE

William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Jim, I was pleased in how clean the UP 1900 was, must have been pressure washed & in the process the UP shield on the nose peeled off, whatever happened I'm happy the UP shield was removed from the nose 7/5/2012 7:30:41 PM

Curt Beal General Nice to see one of these still around on UP. About your caption, W&LE has two GP40-3's still in Rio Grande paint as well as the tunnel motors. 7/20/2012 4:03:50 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks Curt, I wasn't aware of the GP40-3's still in D&RGW paint, thanks for the info 7/20/2012 4:08:33 PM
David Stewart General even though it's a patch, still a great catch 9/21/2012 3:01:19 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General I know 9/21/2012 6:36:52 AM
Dave Curtis General Awesome!! 2/10/2013 5:40:23 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General Yes, especially considering there's only 2 of these GP60's left, UP 1900 & 1901 that are still in D&RGW paint, though 1901 has the UP shield patch on the nose, 1900 did as well, but somehow it got removed, considering I had no idea it was coming as I usually do, it has to be one of my most rare catches that I ever caught 2/10/2013 8:00:00 AM
Jacob Werling General Awesome job! That is really nice! A DRG&W and a SP unit together! That is a one in a lifetime catch! I am shocked at how great that must have been! 4/13/2015 8:09:22 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Thanks 4/13/2015 8:12:27 PM
